About
What is startatnothing.com?
startatnothing.com is an experiment of sorts with which its creators, Mike and Kevin, hope to create a blueprint for similarly intelligent, goal-oriented people, illustrating how to create a blog and use it as a form of income. Starting from day-one, we will document everything we do, letting the reader know what works and what doesn’t work. There are a lot of blogs out there that describe how to make money with a blog, so we will use these blogs as our guide, and we will test their claims to see if they work.
Who are you guys?
Mike is a history major from the University of Delaware, who is now working on his Master’s Degree in Secondary Education. He has no experience in blogging or computers, and he is very poor.
Kevin is a civil engineering major at the University of Delaware. He also has no experience in blogging or computers, but will most certainly end up with a better paying job than Mike.
What’s with the domain name?
Our site is called startatnothing.com for a few reasons. Every good idea has a starting point. For us, that happens to be at nothing… and by nothing we mean no salary, no education in blogging/programming, no experience in marketing or business… nothing. That’s the beauty in it. We’re starting from scratch, similar to the average person asking the same questions we asked when developing this idea: “How do I make money online without having any money to start with?”
How will you educate your readers?
Our purpose is to teach people how to make money via the internet. To accomplish this, we will employ a very simple technique: Trial and Error. We want to eliminate the risk for our readers by acting as their personal guinea pigs. We will thoroughly test and review every way to supposedly ‘make money with the internet.’ We will then document each experience with our results. Our results will include information on how to employ the so-called ‘money-making programs,’ what problems you will most likely encounter, and how (if possible) to use said program successfully.
